A few of my favorite summer pics

We have been taking so many pictures these last few  months, so I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you.  Enjoy

Cool guys love Sonic!

As previously stated, the beach has been awesome!

Going for a ride on Grampa's back

Christopher will finally play in the mud and get dirty.

3/4 of a year grown

It seems like I can not keep on top of how fast this baby is growing.  He is starting to lose some of his "chunky monkey-ness" and looking more and more like a little boy instead of a baby.

He  patiently waited until we moved to start really crawling, and now he is all over the place.  Of course, two days after he started crawling, he started  pulling up, so now nothing is safe!  His favorite thing to use for a climbing tool is my legs, which makes cleaning and cooking a little bit harder, and precarious .

He is so much fun to have around the house. He laughs constantly and talks non-stop to all of us.  Jas has gotten used to him and, just like with Christopher, lays there to let him climb all over her.  She doesn't even seem to notice.

And the biggest and best development.... he now sleeps through the night!  Amazing!  We thought this would never happen, especially given our history with Christopher.  It took 3 awful and grueling nights, but it worked and now I am not up every 2 1/2 hours.  Ah, sleep.  So great.

Beach bum!  Our favorite destination this summer.

I have no idea how he got in there. The high chair is just all enough for him to fit.

Nap time wherever we can get it.

Basketball already in hand.  Where's the court?

Oh, Strawberry Fields!

There are so many things that I love about New Hampshire that I sometimes don't know where to begin. For right now, my two favorite things are our wonderful beaches (way better than TX) and the abundance of Pick-Your-Own farms.

Right now strawberry season is in full swing and about a week ago we all piled into the car and headed out to our favorite farm. There were 2 fields, and rows and rows of yummy strawberries. We picked strawberries for awhile and somehow ended up with 8 lbs to take home and eat to our hearts content.

Which one should he pick?

The good ones were all underneath. Perfect for crouching Christopher.

The perfect strawberry!  (and it tasted perfect ,too)

First sweet taste

Aiden's turn!

Then there was the "mad" face when it was all gone.

We managed to slice, bake, crush, freeze, giveaway and eat all 8 lbs of those yummy berries.  Headed back out this weekend with Chris' department for more home-grown fun!  Not quite as many this time.

And, finally, I am counting down the days to this:

Good bye Kindergarten!

I have never needed any reminders that Christopher is growing up right before my eyes (and even with my back turned).  From the now long, lanky legs and arms to the fact that he is almost up to my shoulders in height, I see signs of if everywhere.  Then on Thursday, one huge, wack  me in the face reminder was laid out before me, wrapped neatly in a little celebration bow.

Thursday we celebrated the end of kindergarten and the beginning of "real school". That's right, the 1st grade!  I will lament this over and over for the rest of my life, but when did this happen?  Who let him get so big?  (for the record, I will always blame all of his grandparents)

On Thursday we got to watch our boy stand on stage and sing songs about the greatness of God and I know just how much this year has changed him, and the rest of our family in so many ways.  I look forward to the summer and hope to hold on to every last moment of kindergarten times as I can. I love the personality that is emerging from him.  Not a day goes by that he does not make me laugh when I hear his views on the world, and then he brings me to tears with his honest and sincere heart.  I wish that all of you could have been here to celebrate this milestone, but know that God has us so far apart for a reason.

Happy summer!  Enjoy these days that God has given us; they are flying by too fast!.
